来年７～８月に開催されるロンドン五輪で、ＮＨＫと民放がテレビで生放送しない競技をインターネットで無料中継する準備を進めていることが１２日、分かった。

　五輪のテレビ放送は従来、サッカーやマラソンなどの人気スポーツや、日本人選手の活躍が期待される競技などに限られてきたが、競技人口が少ない「マイナースポーツ」もネットで楽しめることになりそうだ。

　ＮＨＫは法令上、未放送番組のネット配信が認められていないため、総務相の認可を得た上で実施する見込み。民放はネットでの広告獲得などが課題となる。
